EACH ACCOUNT INDIVIDUALLY MANAGED
Terril & Company understands that no two financial situations are alike. Clients have singular goals for growth and income, varying tax situations and different thresholds for investment risk. For this reason, Terril manages all accounts individually. It does not run common funds.
Personal service is another Terril trademark. Clients are free to meet one-on-one with the professional who is investing their assets. Staff members know clients by name and recognize them on sight. Telephone inquiries are answered by human beings, not machines.
For clients who live outside of metro St. Louis, Terril offers this interactive website, toll-free access at 1-800-767-0344, email, post, fax, cell phone (voicemail and text) and an open-ended commitment to meet in the client’s home town as the situation warrants.
THE ANNUAL RETURN GOAL
The annual return goal of Terril & Company is absolute – not relative. This mindset is in sharp contrast to traditional index-driven money managers who in a year when the S&P 500 declines 14 percent find it satisfactory to report a 12 percent loss to clients. Terril does not find this to be an acceptable result.
Consistent, solidly positive performance is the imperative at Terril & Company where the goal is to generate an annual rate of return that is 3 to 5 percent greater than the inflation rate, plus taxes and fees. Historically, investment advisors that achieve this level of performance over the long term compare favorably to their peers and earn referrals from their clients.
